2h agoDupree will sign a two-year contract with the Chargers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Dupree reportedly recently met with both the Falcons and Steelers in addition to the Chargers, and it appears that he'll end up with Los Angeles. The veteran edge rusher enjoyed a solid bounce-back campaign with Atlanta last season, recording 39 tackles (his most since 2019), including 6.5 sacks (his most since 2020). Dupree will add to an already formidable Chargers pass rush that also includes Joey Bosa (foot), Khalil Mack and Tuli Tuipulotu.

8h agoThe Panthers waived Parker with an undisclosed non-football injury Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The details and severity of Parker's injury are unknown, other than the fact that it did not occur on the football field. The cornerback will now be available to be claimed off waivers should any other teams show interest.

8h agoWilliams was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday due to an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
No details have been released regarding more information on the severity of Williams' injury. He will presumably revert to Carolina's injured reserve assuming he clears waivers, which means his 2024 season will be done unless both parties can reach an injury settlement.

There is no word on the severity of Manning's injury. Assuming he clears waivers, the guard will subsequently revert to Carolina's injured reserve. From there, he would need to reach an injury settlement with the team at some point lest his 2024 season comes to a premature end.

Bradlee Anae NYJ DEFalcons' Bradlee Anae: Inks deal with Atlanta
10h agoAnae (undisclosed) has agreed to terms on a contract with the Falcons, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
This news comes less than 24 hours after Anae's tryout in Atlanta. His 2023 season came to an end early, as the Jets placed him on injured reserve nearly one year ago with an undisclosed injury presumably suffered during offseason workouts. The defensive end's addition to Atlanta's roster indicates his health is back up to par, so he will now compete for a role in the trenches.

1d agoThe Texans waived Doaks on Friday.
Doaks spent most of the past two seasons with Houston's practice squad and had signed a reserve/future contract with the club in January. However, he was cut Friday after the Texans reshaped their running back room in the offseason by trading for Joe Mixon, adding Jawhar Jordan in the draft and signing British Brooks as an undrafted free agent. Doaks has yet to play a snap in the NFL.

11m agoConforto departed Saturday's game versus the Reds due to right hamstring tightness, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Conforto singled in the bottom of the fourth inning but had to be removed for a pinch-runner. The Giants could have more on his status after the game. Conforto had the single and a strikeout in two plate appearances before exiting.

17m agoDiaz went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's win over the Yankees.
Diaz jumped on Nestor Cortes' first pitch of the bottom of the first inning, sending it over the left-field wall for his second longball of the season. He didn't stop there, doubling twice (with one of them plating another run) and finishing with three runs scored. Diaz already has five multi-hit games this month, elevating his average from .220 to .250.

24m agoFairbanks struck out one in a perfect inning Saturday versus the Yankees in his first appearance since returning from the injured list.
Fairbanks was activated from the IL earlier in the day following a nearly three-week absence with a nerve issue. Rays manager Kevin Cash put him right to work, asking him to preserve a five-run lead in the ninth. Fairbanks did so without a sweat, needing just 11 pitches to complete the 1-2-3 frame. The 30-year-old now sits on a 7.88 ERA and 11:8 K:BB over eight innings this season. Despite the ugly numbers, Fairbanks should still be the clear favorite for saves in Tampa Bay's bullpen, as long as he's healthy.

Zack Littell TB SPRays' Zack Littell: Picks up second win
31m agoLittell (2-2) got the victory Saturday versus the Yankees, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He notched three strikeouts.
Littell came into this outing with zero walks over his last four starts and at least six strikeouts in all of those outings. While he went the other direction in both areas during Saturday's start, it was an effective outing nonetheless. Littell is sitting on a 3.02 ERA, but this was his first win since March 30. His next outing projects to come in Boston.

Nestor Cortes NYY SPYankees' Nestor Cortes: Yields four runs over 5.1 innings
39m agoCortes (1-4) took a loss Saturday in Tampa Bay, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out five.
Cortes has just eight walks all season coming into this outing and half of those came in his first two starts. He issued a season-high three free passes in this one and it's the first time since April 14 that he didn't go at least six frames. Cortes will try to bounce back his next time out in a favorable matchup at home against the White Sox.

1h agoStott went 2-for-5 with four RBI in Saturday's 8-3 victory over the Marlins.
Stott's bases-clearing triple in the sixth inning put the Phillies ahead for what turned out to be for good. He also added an RBI single in the eighth. It's the second four-RBI game for Stott over his last 10 contests, and he's batting .375 with a couple homers and 13 RBI over that span.

Gilgeous-Alexander continued his run of stellar production in the Game 3 loss. The All-Star averaged a stunning 28.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists over six playoff games heading into Saturday's contest, making him one of the league's most prolific postseason contributors. His most noticeable stat of the evening was a career-high five blocked shots. Prior to Saturday, the guard had only recorded four swats three times in his pro career.

Washington enjoyed another splendid shooting night beyond the arc after draining seven shots from downtown in Game 2. His 23 shot attempts matched a season high for Washington, who is averaging 13.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.3 assists and 1.0 blocks in the playoffs. He's also converting 52.9 percent of his shots during the postseason.

23m agoDoncic totaled 22 points (7-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-10 FT), 15 rebounds, five assists and two steals across 40 minutes during Saturday's 105-101 victory over the Thunder in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Doncic sealed the Game 3 win by winning a jump ball in the closing seconds and grabbing the loose ball before the buzzer. While Doncic's inspired play was a clear difference-maker in the victory, he left the court favoring his left ankle. His injury struggles were noticeable throughout the game, as his ankle and lingering knee issue limited his speed in transition. Still, Doncic played through the pain and delivered his best rebound total of the postseason. Although Doncic may find himself on the injury report for Monday evening's rematch, he'll carry a full load if his body can take the beating.

35m agoIrving notched 22 points (10-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt), five rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal over 41 minutes during Saturday's 105-101 win over the Thunder in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
After a season-low nine points in Game 2, Irving came back with a diverse stat line, helping the Mavericks even the series. Irving complemented teammate Luka Doncic with a series of key plays in the closing minutes, draining all four of his shots in the final stanza. Irving led the team with seven assists, which marked the fourth time the All-Star exceeded his seasonal average in the category during the playoffs.

Allen has yet to see the court in the series against the Celtics, but he'll aim to be available for the Game 4 matchup on Monday. This means Evan Mobley will remain at center while Isaac Okoro should also remain in the starting lineup.

Wade has been sidelined since March 8, but he made it through warmups without any setbacks and is officially good to go. Jarrett Allen (ribs) remains out, however. It will be interesting to see what type of role Wade plays after being sidelined so long.

Chytil returned from a head injury Thursday, logging a shot and a hit in 12:02 of ice time en route to a 3-2 overtime victory over the Hurricanes. However, he didn't join the Rangers for Saturday's morning skate, which is what first put his status in question. Jonny Brodzinski is expected to draw into the lineup due to Chytil's absence.

Andersen is drawing back in after Pyotr Kochetkov stopped 22 of 25 shots en route to a 3-2 overtime loss to New York in Game 3 on Thursday. The 34-year-old Andersen has a 2.58 GAA and an .899 save percentage across seven playoff outings this year. The Rangers have made life difficult for opposing goaltenders by averaging 3.71 goals per contest in the 2024 postseason.

Shesterkin has an opportunity to earn his eighth straight victory to open the 2024 playoffs. He's posted a 2.01 GAA and a .935 save percentage across his first seven postseason wins this year. Although the Rangers have an opportunity to complete the second-round sweep of Carolina, the Hurricanes have kept things close, forcing the last two contests to go to overtime while firing a combined 104 shots on Shesterkin over that span, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the 28-year-old netminder challenged often with the Hurricanes' playoff hopes on the line.

Hakanpaa will miss his 23rd straight contest dating back to the regular season and his 10th consecutive absence in the playoffs. He earned two goals, 12 points, 56 shots on net, 123 blocked shots and 196 hits in 64 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.

Oettinger has allowed seven goals on 57 shots in the first two games of the series, but he'll be back at it Saturday with Dallas looking to take the lead in the series. Oettinger is 5-4-0 in the postseason with a .914 save percentage and 2.24 GAA.

This deal could spell the end of Holm's career in North America. The 25-year-old netminder didn't appear in an NHL game -- he went 6-6-0 with an .887 save percentage with AHL Colorado this year.
