Trey Knox 2005 TE
Vikings' Trey Knox: Lands in Minnesota
27m agoKnox signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent Saturday.
After four years at Arkansas, Knox transferred to South Carolina for his fifth-year senior season. He compiled a 37-312-2 receiving line for the Gamecocks. He switched positions from wide receiver to tight end in 2021. Knox joins a tight end room that includes T.J. Hockenson, Josh Oliver, Johnny Mundt and Nick Muse in Minnesota.

Lideatrick Griffin 2005 WR
Raiders' Lideatrick Griffin: Signs with Silver and Black
1h agoGriffin signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent Saturday.
"Tulu" stands at 5-foot-10 and 181 pounds and ran a 4.43 forty at the combine after leading Mississippi State in receiving with a 50-658-4 line as a senior. His main selling point for the Raiders could be his returner skills after he showed some electricity with the ball in his hands during college.
-
Carter Bradley 2005 QB
Raiders' Carter Bradley: Finds work with Las Vegas
1h agoThe Raiders signed Bradley as an undrafted free agent Saturday.
Bradley has good size at 6-foot-3 and 213 pounds and spent the final two years of his college career at South Alabama following four years in Toledo's program. He threw for 5,996 yards at South Alabama, amassing 47 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. In Las Vegas, Bradley slides in at the bottom of the depth chart behind Gardner Minshew, Aidan O'Connell and Anthony Brown.
-
Daijun Edwards 2005 RB
Steelers' Daijun Edwards: Inks deal with Pittsburgh
1h agoThe Steelers signed Edwards as an undrafted free agent Saturday.
Edwards was just a one-year starter at Georgia and overall functioned as part of a backfield committee. He concluded his four-year collegiate career with a 391-2,082-24 rushing line. Edwards is strong in pass-protection and joins a Pittsburgh backfield that is led by Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren and newcomer Cordarrelle Patterson.
-
Blake Watson 2005 RB
Blake Watson: Lands with Denver
2h agoWatson is slated to sign with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports.
Watson spent five years at Old Dominion before transferring to Memphis for his super-senior season. He led the Tigers in rushing with 192-1,152-14 on the ground and added 53-480-3 as a receiver, earning All-AAC honors. Watson joins a crowded Denver backfield depth chart that includes Javonte Williams, Samaje Perine, Jaleel McLaughlin and fifth-round rookie Audric Estime.

Travis Etienne JAC RB
Jaguars' Travis Etienne: To get fifth-year option
2h agoGM Trent Baalke said Saturday that the Jaguars will exercise the fifth-year option on Etienne's rookie contract, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
The same can be said for fellow 2021 first-round pick Trevor Lawrence, which will become official by Thursday's deadline to lock in such options. After getting drafted three years ago, Etienne's pro debut was delayed due to a Lisfranc injury during the preseason in August 2021, but he's since rushed for more than 1,000 yards in both of the last two seasons while racking up 93 catches for 792 yards in 34 regular-season contests. He'll continue to lead Jacksonville's backfield for the next two campaigns ahead of Tank Bigsby once the aforementioned option is exercised.

Prelander Berroa CHW RP
White Sox's Prelander Berroa: Expected to be recalled
35m agoBerroa is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Charlotte prior to Sunday's game versus the Rays, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
The White Sox need bullpen help after five relievers were needed in Saturday's extra-inning win over the Rays. Berroa allowed 11 runs over his first 4.1 innings with Charlotte this season but has been unscored upon in his last seven appearances. The hard-throwing righty was acquired from the Mariners over the offseason in the Gregory Santos trade and will be making his White Sox debut when/if he gets into a game.

Jose Siri TB CF
Rays' Jose Siri: Pulled due to lack of effort
42m agoRays manager Kevin Cash said he pulled Siri from Saturday's game versus the White Sox in the third inning due to a lack of effort, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Siri didn't show much hustle in going after an Eloy Jimenez double in the second inning and was removed for defense before the bottom of the third. Cash noted that he considers the matter closed and that there will be no carryover, so it sounds like Siri could be back in the lineup Sunday. The center fielder struck out in his lone plate appearance Saturday and has fanned at a 44.4 percent clip on the season.

Miguel Sano LAA 3B
Angels' Miguel Sano: Gets left knee checked out
1h agoSano went to have his sore left knee examined Saturday afternoon, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Sano was in the starting lineup Friday after battling soreness in the knee for several days, but his knee "flared up again" after two at-bats, per manager Ron Washington. The Angels have not provided an update as of Saturday evening, and it's especially concerning given that Sano's left knee is what cost him the better part of the last two seasons. Sano got off to a decent start with the Angels and went yard last weekend for his first MLB homer in over two years, but his status is up in the air at the moment.

Jacob Young WAS CF
Nationals' Jacob Young: Steals two bases, scores four runs
2h agoYoung went 2-for-4 with an RBI, four runs scored and two stolen bases in Saturday's 11-4 win over the Marlins.
He had just two singles but managed to reach base in all five plate appearances, getting on via a hit-by-pitch, a fielder's choice and an error. It was the second multi-steal game this season for Young, who swiped three bags against the Giants back on April 9. Young is now a perfect 21-for-21 on stolen base attempts in 52 major-league games. The 24-year-old should continue to run wild as long as he's in the lineup, and his terrific defense in center field helps him in that regard. The rest of Young's offensive game is so limited, though, that he doesn't have much margin for error.
-
Jesse Winker WAS LF
Nationals' Jesse Winker: Swats grand slam Saturday
2h agoWinker went 2-for-5 with a grand slam in Saturday's 11-4 victory over the Marlins.
After walking CJ Abrams to load the bases in the top of the fifth inning, Edward Cabrera hung a curveball to Winker, who deposited it over the right-field wall to break the game open. Winker also had a single, giving him his first multi-hit game since April 16. He's now slashing .291/.404/.465 on the season for the Nationals.
-
Edward Cabrera MIA SP
Marlins' Edward Cabrera: Labors through 4.1 innings
2h agoCabrera (1-1) took the loss Saturday versus the Nationals, yielding six runs (five earned) on four hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out four.
Cabrera cruised through the first two frames, striking out three while allowing just one runner to reach base. It was a struggle after that, though, with the big blow coming in the fifth inning when Jesse Winker walloped a grand slam. Cabrera twirled a gem in his first start earlier this month, but his second outing wasn't great and this one was worse. Further inconsistency should be expected.

CJ McCollum NO PG
Pelicans' CJ McCollum: Rough night Saturday
3h agoMcCollum produced 16 points (7-22 FG, 2-8 3Pt), five rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals across 35 minutes during Saturday's 106-85 loss to the Thunder in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
McCollum went just 7-of-22 from the field, summing up another rough night for the Pelicans. After falling behind early, New Orleans was never able to get back into the game, shooting just 38.1 percent from the floor as a team. McCollum needs to be better, although, at this stage, he might not have it in him. Game 4 will be on Monday when the Pelicans will look to restore some pride.
-
Matt Ryan NO SF
Pelicans' Matt Ryan: Fails to score Saturday
3h agoRyan amassed zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and one steal over three minutes during Saturday's 106-85 loss to the Thunder in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Ryan failed to score in his three minutes, adding to what was a terrible night for the Pelicans. Playing in front of their home fans, the team offered little resistance. Now on the brink of elimination, New Orleans will look to turn things around Monday, in the hope of sending the series back to Oklahoma City.
-
E.J. Liddell NO SF
Pelicans' E.J. Liddell: Rare appearance in loss
3h agoLiddell amassed one rebound in three minutes during Saturday's 106-85 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Liddell saw rare playing time in the loss, as the Pelicans were blown out on their home court. The fact that he was in the rotation tells you everything you need to know about where the Pelicans are at right now. They will look to salvage some pride when the two teams face off again in Game 4, also in New Orleans.
-
Gordon Hayward OKC SF
Thunder's Gordon Hayward: Struggles continue Saturday
3h agoHayward had four rebounds and one assist across eight minutes during Saturday's 106-85 victory over the Pelicans in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Hayward continues to be nothing more than a depth piece for the Thunder, logging just eight minutes in the victory. While he does provide the team with a veteran presence, Hayward is not viewed as a key on-court piece.
-
Cason Wallace OKC PG
Thunder's Cason Wallace: Tallies three steals in win
3h agoWallace accumulated five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and three steals across 18 minutes during Saturday's 106-85 win over the Pelicans in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Wallace continued to be a pest on the defensive end of the floor, racking up three steals in the blowout victory. Despite coming off the bench, Wallace has been an impactful player for the Thunder, often used in situations where defense is key. Game 4 will take place Monday when the Thunder will look to wrap things up against an undermanned Pelicans outfit.
-
Josh Giddey OKC PG
Thunder's Josh Giddey: Strong performance Saturday
3h agoGiddey notched 21 points (8-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, six assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Saturday's 106-85 victory over New Orleans in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Giddey put together his best performance of the postseason, helping guide the Thunder to a comfortable victory. He was one of three Oklahoma City players to score at least 20 points, a feat achieved by no one for the Pelicans. Now leading the series 3-0, the Thunder will look to end things in Game 4 Monday.

James van Riemsdyk BOS LW
Bruins' James van Riemsdyk: Gets on board Saturday
1m agoVan Riemsdyk scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 4.
Van Riemsdyk slotted home the Bruins' first goal at 15:09 of the first period. The tally was the winger's first since Feb. 17 versus the Kings, and it was the first time he'd earned a point since March 2 against the Islanders. When he plays, van Riemsdyk often occupies a bottom-six spot in the lineup. He had 11 goals, 27 helpers, 142 shots on net and a plus-7 rating in 71 regular-season appearances this year.
-
David Pastrnak BOS RW
Bruins' David Pastrnak: Tallies in Saturday's win
4m agoPastrnak scored a goal on four shots, levied three hits and added two PIM in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 4.
Pastrnak has two goals and two assists through four games in the first round. His tally Saturday was a back-breaker for Toronto, as it came with 42 seconds left in the second period to put Boston up 3-0. Pastrnak continues to see his usual top-six minutes with ample power-play time as a leader on offense for the Bruins.
-
Brad Marchand BOS LW
Bruins' Brad Marchand: One of each in Game 4
7m agoMarchand scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist, added two hits and blocked three shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 4.
Marchand's power-play tally in the second period was the game-winner, and he also set up David Pastrnak on a key insurance tally late in the same frame. The 35-year-old Marchand has been the story of the series so far, racking up three goals, five assists, 14 shots on net, 11 hits and a plus-2 rating through four contests. He'll look to lead the Bruins into the second round if they can win back at home in Tuesday's Game 5.
-
Auston Matthews TOR C
Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Pulled from game due to illness
9m agoMatthews was pulled from Saturday's Game 4 due to the illness he's been dealing with in recent days, Joshua Kloke of The Athletic reports.
Matthews didn't play in the third period, and head coach Sheldon Keefe explained that the Maple Leafs' doctors pulled the world-class center from the game. The 26-year-old Matthews will have an extra day to recover before Tuesday's must-win Game 5 in Boston.
-
Jeremy Swayman BOS G
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Collects third win of series
12m agoSwayman stopped 24 of 25 shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 4.
Swayman has all three of the Bruins' wins so far in the playoffs, having allowed just four goals on 91 shots in his three starts. He started consecutive games for the first time since February 19-21, and it looks like he's now the Bruins' preferred starter. The 25-year-old will likely be between the pipes again for Tuesday's Game 5 with a chance to send Toronto packing.
-
Auston Matthews TOR C
Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Exits Game 4
1h agoMatthews (undisclosed) won't return to Saturday's Game 4 versus the Bruins.
Matthews reportedly was ill during Game 3 on Wednesday, per Mark Masters of TSN, but it's unclear if his exit from Game 4 is related. Matthews should be considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's Game 5, pending an update from the Maple Leafs.
