Kendrick Bourne NE WR
Patriots' Kendrick Bourne: Sitting out OTAs
2h agoCoach Jerod Mayo said Monday that Bourne (knee) will not participate in OTAs, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports.
Bourne is working his way back from a right ACL tear that forced him to miss the final nine games of the 2023 campaign, and while he said back in March that he expects to be a "full go" for training camp, it looks like spring activities would be too early a benchmark. That will cost Bourne an early chance to build chemistry with new quarterbacks Jacoby Brissett and Drake Maye, but as long as he's indeed able to get on the practice field for training camp, there shouldn't be real concerns about his availability for Week 1. Bourne re-signed with the Patriots this offseason on a three-year, $33 million contract this offseason, though it only contains $5.5 million guaranteed at signing with a $19.5 million base value.

Tua Tagovailoa MIA QB
Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Present for start of OTAs
5h agoTagovailoa is present for the start of OTAs on Monday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
Tagovailoa was recently reported to have missed a notable amount of Miami's offseason work amid ongoing talks about a contract extension, but the 26-year-old quarterback is in the building to kick off the start of OTAs. It appears that both Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' organization are confident that an extension will get done prior to the start of the regular season, so unless things stall on that front there shouldn't be too many concerns about the quarterback's offseason participation. Currently, Tagovailoa is slated to play out the 2024 campaign on his fifth-year option. He played a full 17 regular-season games last year for the first time in his career, achieving new highs with 4,624 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

Mack Hollins BUF WR
Bills' Mack Hollins: More competition emerges
1d agoHollins, who was signed as a free agent by the Bills in March, has seen the receiver room fill out in the time since, with the Bills drafting Keon Coleman in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft while also adding veterans Curtis Samuel, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Chase Claypool.
For a very brief period, Hollins was a starter on the otherwise lethal Buffalo offensive depth chart, but things have changed, and it now looks as if the Bills will let several journeymen duke it out for slotting. With Buffalo being likely to feature running back James Cook and tight end Dalton Kincaid heavily in the passing game, it's difficult to envision Hollins having anything more than a depth role as a receiver that offers good size in the red zone, though it should be noted that he's never caught more than four touchdowns in an NFL season.

Tank Dell HOU WR
Texans' Tank Dell: Engages in workout Saturday
2d agoDell (leg) ran and performed drills Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Dell is recovering from what has been described as a "clean flesh wound" to his left leg sustained as an innocent bystander in a shooting in Florida in late April. The wideout's workout Saturday suggests that he's progressing well and confirms previous reports that the wound was minor. Given his activity Saturday, there appears to be a chance that Dell will participate in the Texans' OTAs, which begin Monday.

Chukwuebuka Godrick KC OT
Chiefs' Chukwuebuka Godrick: Arrested on misdemeanor charge
3d agoGodrick and teammate Wanya Morris were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Godrick and Morris were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Godrick is expected to compete for a roster spot in 2024 after spending his rookie year on Kansas City's practice squad in 2023. It's unclear whether Godrick will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Wanya Morris KC OT
Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Arrested for misdemeanor possession
3d agoMorris and teammate Chukwuebuka Godrick were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Morris and Godrick were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Morris is expected to compete for the starting left tackle spot for the Chiefs in 2024. It's unclear whether Morris will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Colby White TB RP
Yankees' Colby White: Removed from 40-man roster
13m agoWhite was designated for assignment by the Yankees on Monday.
White was claimed off waivers from the Rays earlier this month, but his stay on the Yankees' 40-man roster was a brief one. Clayton Andrews was added in a corresponding move.
-
Ian Hamilton NYY RP
Yankees' Ian Hamilton: Goes on COVID-19 IL
18m agoThe Yankees placed Hamilton on the 7-day COVID-19 injured list Monday, retroactive to May 19.
Hamilton should be away for about a week while recovering from the illness. He's been one of the Yankees' better relievers since the beginning of last season but has struggled in May with a 3.68 ERA and 2.05 WHIP over eight appearances.
-
Tylor Megill NYM SP
Mets' Tylor Megill: Activated from IL ahead of start
24m agoThe Mets activated Megill (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Monday.
Megill is set to rejoin the Mets' rotation Monday in Cleveland after missing all of April and much of May with a right shoulder strain. He was excellent on his rehab assignment, allowing just one earned run with a 23:1 K:BB over 14 innings. Megill threw 74 pitches in his fourth and final rehab start, so he should be good for 90 or so Monday.
-
Grant Hartwig NYM RP
Mets' Grant Hartwig: Optioned to Triple-A
27m agoThe Mets optioned Hartwig to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday.
Hartwig's latest stint in the big leagues lasted less than a week and he allowed four runs (three earned) over 3.2 relief innings. He's clearing out to make room for Tylor Megill's return from the injured list.
-
Xander Bogaerts SD 2B
Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Leaves game with shoulder injury
38m agoBogaerts was removed from Monday's game in Atlanta with an apparent left shoulder injury, Sammy Levitt of 973 The Fan reports.
Bogaerts landed awkwardly while making a diving stop at second base in the third inning and looked to be in considerable pain immediately. He walked off the field under his own power and now could be headed for testing. Bogaerts was retired in his lone plate appearance before departing.
-
Tyler Fitzgerald SF SS
Giants' Tyler Fitzgerald: Sent down to minors
1h agoThe Giants optioned Fitzgerald to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The corresponding move is expected to be waiver claim Ryan McKenna officially being added to the roster. Fitzgerald has slashed a solid .269/.309/.442 in 55 plate appearances this season, although that's come with a 36.4 percent strikeout rate and 3.6 percent walk rate.
-
Kristaps Porzingis BOS C
Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Doesn't practice Monday
1h agoPorzingis (calf) didn't participate in Monday's practice session, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
Porzingis sustained a calf injury during the first round of the playoffs and isn't expected to be available for the start of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers. His absence from practice reflects that pessimism, while Al Horford and Luke Kornet should continue to see an uptick in playing time during Tuesday's Game 1.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope DEN SG
Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Poor offensive showing Sunday
7h agoCaldwell-Pope racked up five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Caldwell-Pope scored single digits for the sixth time in the past eight games, highlighting the Nuggets' struggles when it comes to depth on the offensive end. While he continues to play a key role for Denver, his lack of production cannot be ignored when it comes to fantasy value. Looking ahead to next season, there is no reason to think he will be anything more than a situational streamer, utilized for steals and threes.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Scores game-high 35 points
7h agoMurray provided 35 points (13-27 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 43 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to Minnesota in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Murray did everything he could to get the Nuggets over the line but ultimately came up short. He and Nikola Jokic scored 69 of the Nuggets' 90 points, highlighting just how unimpactful their bench was. While it was a disappointing end for Murray, his production this year aligned with what fantasy managers expected coming into the season. Given they will likely be contending again next season, there is no reason to think anything changes from a fantasy perspective in 2024-25.
-
Michael Porter Jr. DEN SF
Nuggets' Michael Porter: Goes cold in Game 7 loss
7h agoPorter posted seven points (3-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt), nine rebounds and two blocks across 34 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Porter went just 1-for-6 from the three-point line, continuing a rough series for the sharpshooter. Over the seven-game span, Porter scored fewer than 10 points on five occasions. It was an unfortunate end for Porter after he managed to put together a strong season. Despite the poor postseason performance, Porter should be able to maintain mid-round value in most fantasy formats next season.
-
Jaden McDaniels MIN SF
Timberwolves' Jaden McDaniels: Scores team-high 23 points
7h agoMcDaniels racked up 23 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals across 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 victory over the Nuggets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
McDaniels scored 20-plus points for the second straight game, helping the Timberwolves to an impressive victory in Game 7. Although his offensive output can be inconsistent, he has been a little more reliable during the postseason. Coming up against the Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals, McDaniels is going to have to maintain his offensive mindset to contend with the likes of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
-
Naz Reid MIN C
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Plays key role late in victory
7h agoReid closed with 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 22 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 win over the Nuggets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Reid played additional minutes down the stretch due to Karl-Anthony Towns' foul trouble. As usual, Reid delivered on the offensive end and tallied a few key blocks. He should play a pivotal role off the bench for Minnesota against the high-flying Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.
-
Stuart Skinner EDM G
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Gets starting nod for Game 7
4m agoSkinner will be between the road pipes for Monday's Game 7 clash with the Canucks, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.
Skinner returned from a two-game benching to stop 14 of 15 shots in a Game 6 win. In each of his last three appearances, the netminder has faced less than 20 shots and will no doubt be hoping for a light workload in game 7 as well. If he can secure the win Monday, Skinner should be the presumptive starter moving forward.
-
Jani Hakanpaa DAL D
Stars' Jani Hakanpaa: Still day-to-day
7m agoHakanpaa (lower body) didn't practice Monday and remains day-to-day prior to Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Thursday, according to Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.
Hakanpaa has missed the last 26 contests, including Dallas' first 13 playoff outings. It is still unclear when he will be available to return. If Hakanpaa can't play Thursday, Alex Petrovic or Nils Lundkvist will be in the lineup against Edmonton or Vancouver.
-
Roope Hintz DAL LW
Stars' Roope Hintz: Remains day-to-day
16m agoHintz (upper body) is considered day-to-day ahead of Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Thursday, per Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.
Hintz sat out the final two contests of Dallas' second-round series against Colorado. He has recorded two goals, six points, 13 shots on net and 15 hits through 11 playoff outings. Hintz skated Monday, but his availability for the start of the next round of the postseason remains unclear at this time.
-
Ilya Mikheyev VAN RW
Canucks' Ilya Mikheyev: In action Monday
1h agoMikheyev (undisclosed) will rejoin the lineup for Game 7 versus the Oilers on Monday, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Mikheyev missed the previous two contests with an apparent undisclosed injury. He has yet to register a point in 10 postseason contests. With Mikheyev back in action, Vasily Podkolzin is expected to serve as a healthy scratch.
-
Brock Boeser VAN RW
Canucks' Brock Boeser: Won't return this postseason
3h agoBoeser will miss the remainder of the 2024 playoffs after a blood-clotting issue was found in his leg following Vancouver's Game 6 loss to Edmonton on Saturday, per Sportsnet.
Boeser will conclude the postseason with seven goals and 12 points in 12 appearances. He also set career highs during the 2023-24 regular season, producing 40 goals and 73 points over 81 outings. If Ilya Mikheyev (undisclosed) can't play in Monday's Game 7 matchup versus the Oilers, Sam Lafferty or Linus Karlsson could draw into the lineup to replace Boeser.
-
Brett Seney CHI LW
Blackhawks' Brett Seney: Inks one-year extension
3h agoSeney signed a one-year, two-way contract with Chicago on Monday.
Seney supplied 23 goals and 63 points in 68 contests with AHL Rockford during the 2023-24 regular season. The 28-year-old forward has one goal in 11 NHL outings with the Blackhawks over the past two campaigns.
