5h agoThe Saints signed Patrick (calf) to a one-year contract Sunday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Patrick appeared in 23 games with 20 starts over the past two seasons with Chicago. The 30-year-old was the team's starting center for almost the entire 2023 campaign, but he ended the year on IR due to an unspecified calf injury. Whe the nature of this issue was never revealed, Patrick now appears to be healthy again. He should now provide depth along the interior of New Orleans' offensive line.

Ramon Jefferson 2005 RB
Buccaneers' Ramon Jefferson: Inks deal with Tampa
5h agoThe Buccaneers signed Jefferson on Sunday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Jefferson was one of 26 players brought in on a tryout basis during Tampa Bay's rookie minicamp Friday and Saturday. The 5-foot-10 running back played at four different schools during his collegiate career, beginning at Maine in 2017. He spent his final two seasons with Kentucky after a standout stint at FCS Sam Houston, where he logged 1,907 yards on 299 carries across two years. However, he finished with just 28 rushes for 184 yards across 11 games with the Wildcats in 2023.

9h agoThe Lions are signing Davis to a contract after he attended rookie camp on a tryout basis, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Davis was waived by the Cardinals in late April after spending most of last year on the team's practice squad. He was active for one contest during the campaign but didn't see any snaps. The 25-year-old will get a shot to compete for a roster spot among a wide-receiver corps that is headed by Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.

Olumuyiwa Fashanu NYJ OT
Jets' Olumuyiwa Fashanu: Recovering from quad injury
10h agoFashanu strained his quadriceps while running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and could miss some or all of OTAs due to the injury, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Rosenblatt described the injury as minor, so Fashanu should be recovered well before the start of the regular season, but the 11th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft may not be ready to join his new teammates at the start of offseason workouts. The offensive tackle out of Penn State has been working off to the side with trainers during the Jets' rookie minicamp.

Bud Dupree ATL OLB
Chargers' Bud Dupree: Set to join Chargers
1d agoDupree will sign a two-year contract with the Chargers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Dupree reportedly met with both the Falcons and Steelers recently in addition to the Chargers, and it appears that he'll end up with Los Angeles. The veteran edge rusher enjoyed a solid bounce-back campaign with Atlanta last season, recording 39 tackles (his most since 2019), including 6.5 sacks (his most since 2020). Dupree will add to an already formidable Chargers pass rush that also includes Joey Bosa (foot), Khalil Mack and Tuli Tuipulotu.

Stott has now recorded at least one hit in eight out of his last nine contests, batting .414 with four extra-base hits, nine RBI, nine runs scored and five stolen bases over that stretch.

Luke Jackson SF RP
Giants' Luke Jackson: Collects extra-innings win
3m agoJackson (1-1) allowed a walk and struck out two without giving up a hit in a scoreless inning to earn the extra-inning win Sunday over the Reds.
Jackson was tagged for three runs in his season debut and promptly went on the injured list with a back issue. He's been sharp since his return with 8.1 scoreless innings and a 7:3 K:BB in that span. Jackson has a couple of blown saves on his ledger and remains in a low-leverage role, though he pitched the 10th inning Sunday after Camilo Doval was called upon for a four-out appearance spanning the eighth and ninth frames.
-
Kenley Jansen BOS RP
Red Sox's Kenley Jansen: Converts for save No. 7
6m agoJansen picked up the save Sunday against Washington, allowing one hit and no walks over a scoreless ninth inning. He didn't log a strikeout.
Jansen got an assist from Connor Wong, who ended the game by throwing out Jacob Young during an attempted steal of second base. The 36-year-old has converted on seven of his eight save chances, owning a 2.63 ERA with 19 strikeouts over 13.2 innings.
-
Kyle Harrison SF SP
Giants' Kyle Harrison: Too wild Sunday
7m agoHarrison allowed three runs on three hits and five walks while striking out five over five innings in a no-decision versus the Reds on Sunday.
Walks have become an issue for Harrison in May -- he's issued 12 of them over 17 innings across his last three starts while adding 14 strikeouts in that span. The Reds weren't fully able to capitalize Sunday, scraping together three runs in the first inning but leaving four runners on base over the next four frames before finding more luck against the Giants' bullpen. Harrison has allowed just four runs over his last 23 innings and now has a 3.42 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 45:17 K:BB through 50 innings across nine starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Rockies.

Spencer Torkelson DET 1B
Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Launches first homer of 2024
10m agoTorkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 9-3 loss to the Astros.
Torkelson finally broke through for his first home run of the 2024 season, launching a two-run shot off of Houston reliever Seth Martinez with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. After producing 31 home runs over 159 games in 2023, it took the first baseman 38 contests to go deep in 2024. Torkelson is now batting .224 with a home run, 14 RBI and 15 runs scored over those 38 games.

MacKenzie Gore WAS SP
Nationals' MacKenzie Gore: Fans nine in loss
12m agoGore (2-4) took the loss Sunday against Boston, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out nine.
After being chased in three innings by the Blue Jays in his last start, Gore went six deep for the second time this season and notched a quality start. Each of the three runs scored by Boston came in the second, as part of a two-hit, one-error frame. One of the runs came on a wild pitch by Gore, with Jarren Duran stealing home. Gore has fanned at least seven hitters in three of his last six starts and has 51 K's across 40.0 innings this season. Gore's tentatively scheduled for a start against the Phillies on Saturday.

Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Available for Game 4
3h agoMurray (calf) will play in Sunday's Game 4 against Minnesota.
Murray has been dealing with a calf injury throughout the series and is yet to miss a game, so it isn't surprising to see him shed another questionable tag. After struggling in the first two games of the series, Murray bounced back in Game 3 with a 24-point outing on solid efficiency, and he will look to carry that momentum over to Sunday's matchup.
-
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope DEN SG
Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Available Sunday
3h agoCaldwell-Pope (abdomen) will play in Sunday's Game 4 against the Timberwolves.
Caldwell-Pope was deemed questionable ahead of gametime due to a right abdominal contusion, but he will suit up for Sunday's matchup. Battling through the same injury in Game 3, Caldwell-Pope logged 37 minutes, so he should be in for a full workload Sunday.
-
Reggie Jackson DEN PG

3h agoJackson (calf) is available for Sunday's Game 4 against Minnesota.
Jackson will overcome a second consecutive questionable tag to suit up for Sunday's matchup. Jackson has had a limited presence this series as he has battled injury, averaging just 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 10.7 minutes through three games.

Cavaliers' Craig Porter: Sidelined for Game 4
4h agoPorter (ankle) won't play in Monday's Game 4 against the Celtics.

-
Ty Jerome CLE SG
Cavaliers' Ty Jerome: Still out
4h agoJerome (ankle) won't play in Monday's Game 4 against Boston.
Jerome hasn't suited up since October due to a right ankle injury that required surgery. Even if he were to return at some point during the playoffs, he likely wouldn't be part of the Cavs' rotation.
-
Sergei Bobrovsky FLA G
Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Three straight wins
15m agoBobrovsky made 16 saves on 18 shots in Sunday's 3-2 Game 4 win over Boston.
It was another light workload in net for the Russian netminder -- this was the third consecutive matchup that Boston has failed to top 18 shots on goal. Bobrovsky was beaten twice in the first period but kept the door shut over the final 40 minutes of the contest. It's also the third straight game that the 35-year-old goaltender has allowed two goals or less. Overall this postseason, Bobrovsky is 7-2 with a 2.55 GAA and an .892 save percentage. Game 5 of this series is Tuesday in Florida.

He has one assist in eight playoff games and has been held scoreless over his last six contests. Linus Karlsson will dress in his absence Sunday.
-
Stuart Skinner EDM G
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Guarding cage Sunday
1h agoSkinner will get the starting nod at home against Vancouver on Sunday, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Skinner helped tie the series at 1-1 by stopping 16 shots in Friday's Game 2 victory. He's struggled so far against the Canucks, yielding eight goals on 43 shots in two contests. Skinner has won five of his seven postseason starts despite registering a lackluster .888 save percentage in the process.
-
Jeremy Swayman BOS G
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Guarding cage Sunday
4h agoSwayman will get the starting nod at home against the Panthers for Game 4 on Sunday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Swayman has been plastered with nine goals on 55 shots over the last two games but it hasn't been enough for Boston to flip back to Linus Ullmark. This will mark nine straight starts for Swayman dating back to the first round against Toronto. During his last eight games, he's posted a .925 save percentage while picking up four wins.
-
Phillip Di Giuseppe VAN LW
Canucks' Phil Di Giuseppe: Absent from practice
8h agoDi Giuseppe (personal) was away from the team Sunday, putting his availability for Sunday's Game 3 against the Oilers in question, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Di Giuseppe has one assist through eight games so far in the postseason while averaging 10:11 of ice time. Either Nils Aman or Vasily Podkolzin would likely enter the lineup if Di Giuseppe is unavailable Sunday.
-
Arturs Silovs VAN G
Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Back in net Sunday
8h agoSilovs will guard the road crease in Game 3 against Edmonton on Sunday, Mike Zeisberger of NHL.com reports.
