Kaden Davis ARI WR
Lions' Kaden Davis: Joining Detroit
2h agoThe Lions are signing Davis to a contract after he attended rookie camp on a tryout basis, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Davis was waived by the Cardinals in late April after spending most of last year on the team's practice squad. He was active for one contest during the campaign but didn't see any snaps. The 25-year-old will get a shot to compete for a roster spot among a wide-receiver corps that is headed by Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.

Olumuyiwa Fashanu NYJ OT
Jets' Olumuyiwa Fashanu: Recovering from quad injury
2h agoFashanu strained his quadriceps while running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and could miss some or all of OTAs due to the injury, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Rosenblatt described the injury as minor, so Fashanu should be recovered well before the start of the regular season, but the 11th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft may not be ready to join his new teammates at the start of offseason workouts. The offensive tackle out of Penn State has been working off to the side with trainers during the Jets' rookie minicamp.

Bud Dupree ATL OLB
Chargers' Bud Dupree: Set to join Chargers
19h agoDupree will sign a two-year contract with the Chargers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Dupree reportedly met with both the Falcons and Steelers recently in addition to the Chargers, and it appears that he'll end up with Los Angeles. The veteran edge rusher enjoyed a solid bounce-back campaign with Atlanta last season, recording 39 tackles (his most since 2019), including 6.5 sacks (his most since 2020). Dupree will add to an already formidable Chargers pass rush that also includes Joey Bosa (foot), Khalil Mack and Tuli Tuipulotu.

AJ Parker CAR CB
AJ Parker: Waived with non-football injury
1d agoThe Panthers waived Parker with an undisclosed non-football injury Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The details and severity of Parker's injury are unknown, other than the fact that it did not occur on the football field. The cornerback will now be available to be claimed off waivers should any other teams show interest.
-
Raequan Williams CAR DT
Raequan Williams: Gets waived/injured
1d agoWilliams was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday due to an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
No details have been released regarding more information on the severity of Williams' injury. He will presumably revert to Carolina's injured reserve assuming he clears waivers, which means his 2024 season will be done unless both parties can reach an injury settlement.
-
Ilm Manning CAR OT
Ilm Manning: Waived/injured by Carolina
1d agoManning was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday with an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
There is no word on the severity of Manning's injury. Assuming he clears waivers, the guard will subsequently revert to Carolina's injured reserve. From there, he would need to reach an injury settlement with the team at some point lest his 2024 season comes to a premature end.

Tyler Stephenson CIN C
Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Taking seat Sunday
2m agoStephenson is out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Giants.
Stephenson started behind the plate in each of the first two games of the series, going 1-for-7 with one walk and three strikeouts. Luke Maile will start at catcher for the series finale Sunday, while Mike Ford serves as the designated hitter.
-
Adam Frazier KC 2B
Royals' Adam Frazier: Not starting in series finale
12m agoFrazier is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Angels.
The lefty-hitting Frazier will sit for a second straight game with the Angels sending out southpaw Patrick Sandoval for Sunday's series finale. Michael Massey will start at second base while Nelson Velazquez serves as the Royals' designated hitter Sunday. Frazier is slashing .188/.309/.250 with one home run and eight RBI over 94 plate appearances this season.
-
Vinnie Pasquantino KC 1B
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Sitting against southpaw
26m agoPasquantino is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Angels.
With the Angels sending southpaw Patrick Sandoval to the mound Sunday, the lefty-hitting Pasquantino will get the series finale off. Pasquantino has gone 13-for-36 with one home run and 11 RBI since May 1, and he is up to .248/.329/.445 over 161 plate appearances this season. Salvador Perez will start at first base Sunday in Pasquantino's stead.
-
Evan Carter TEX LF
Rangers' Evan Carter: Held out for third straight game
31m agoCarter (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
With lefty Austin Gomber starting for Colorado in Friday's 4-2 loss, Carter was held out of the starting nine, but he logged an at-bat off the bench as a pinch-hitter. He may have tweaked his back at some point during that appearance, however, as he'll remain on the bench for a third straight day. Robbie Grossman will fill in for the banged-up Carter in left field.
-
Elehuris Montero COL 1B
Rockies' Elehuris Montero: Sitting in second straight game
38m agoMontero is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
Montero's grasp on the everyday role at first base seems to be slipping, as he finds himself on the bench for the second day in a row. Hunter Goodman -- who went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 8-3 win -- will draw another start at first base at Montero's expense. Montero has gone 5-for-31 with one extra-base hit (a double) and a 31.3 percent strikeout rate over his last nine games.
-
Michael Conforto SF LF
Giants' Michael Conforto: Not starting Sunday
39m agoConforto (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Reds, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Conforto left in the bottom of the fourth inning in Saturday's 5-1 win, and Giants manager Bob Melvin described the right hamstring strain as "mild," per John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle. With Conforto out of the lineup Sunday, Heliot Ramos will start in left field while Patrick Bailey serves as the designated hitter.
-
OG Anunoby NY SF
Knicks' OG Anunoby: Not running yet
17m agoAnunoby (hamstring) hasn't started running yet, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reported Sunday.
Coach Tom Thibodeau said Sunday that Anunoby had been doing "pool work" and hasn't started running yet as he rehabs a left hamstring injury he sustained in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. It seems as though Anunoby has a ways to go before returning to the hardwood, putting his status for the rest of the series in serious jeopardy.
-
Aaron Nesmith IND SF
Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Good to go
32m agoNesmith (shoulder) is available for Sunday's Game 4 against the Knicks, Tony East of SI.com reports.
Nesmith was deemed questionable ahead of Sunday's contest with a sore right shoulder. However, he'll suit up for the contest and should have no restrictions. Nesmith is averaging 9.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game during the series.
-
Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Available for Game 4
37m agoHaliburton (back/ankle) will play in Sunday's Game 4 against the Knicks, Tony East of SI.com reports.
Haliburton will play through multiple injuries Sunday, as he's dealing with low back spasms, a right ankle sprain and a sacral contusion. Despite the injuries, Haliburton has played 35 or more minutes in each game this series and has topped 30 points in back-to-back contests.
-
Dean Wade CLE PF
Cavaliers' Dean Wade: Plays 17 minutes in return
7h agoWade (knee) finished Saturday's 106-93 loss to Boston in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinal round with five points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one block in 17 minutes.
Suiting up for the first time since March 8 after needing two months to heal up from a sprained knee, Wade captured a rotation spot and helped provide the Cavaliers with some much-needed depth in the frontcourt. Though he acquitted himself well during his time on the court, Wade is unlikely to see his role grow substantially as the series rolls along, especially once center Jarrett Allen (ribs) is back in action.
-
Max Strus CLE SG
Cavaliers' Max Strus: Struggles in Game 3 loss
7h agoStrus totaled six points (2-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt), five rebounds and two assists over 37 minutes during Saturday's 106-93 loss to the Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Strus continues to deliver nothing but mediocrity, scoring fewer than 15 points for the eighth time in the past nine games, all during the playoffs. If the Cavaliers have any chance of beating the Celtics, they are going to need Strus to rediscover his form from earlier in the season. Based on what we have seen during the postseason, that might be wishful thinking.
-
Sam Merrill CLE SG
Cavaliers' Sam Merrill: Fails to score in 11 minutes
7h agoMerrill notched zero points (0-1 FG) across 11 minutes during Saturday's 106-93 loss to the Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Merrill missed his only shot attempt, failing to have an impact once again. Although he did have a couple of bright spots throughout the season, Merrill has been a non-factor in the playoffs.
-
Phillip Di Giuseppe VAN LW
Canucks' Phil Di Giuseppe: Absent from practice
2m agoDi Giuseppe (personal) was away from the team Sunday, putting his availability for Game 3 in question, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Di Giuseppe has one assist through eight games so far in the postseason while averaging 10:11 of ice time. Either Nils Aman or Vasily Podkolzin would likely enter the lineup if Di Giuseppe is unavailable Sunday.
-
Arturs Silovs VAN G
Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Back in net Sunday
24m agoSilovs will guard the road crease in Game 3 against Edmonton on Sunday.
Silovs will make his fifth straight start for Vancouver -- he's 3-2-0 with an .899 save percentage in the postseason while allowing four goals in each of his first two games against the Oilers. Casey DeSmith is healthy, though he'll likely backup Silovs on Sunday.
-
Adam Henrique EDM C
Oilers' Adam Henrique: Ruled out Sunday
1h agoHenrique (undisclosed) won't play Sunday in Game 3 against Vancouver.
Henrique played 11:38 minutes in Game 2 on Friday after missing Game 1 with a lower-body injury -- likely the same injury that'll sideline the veteran center Sunday. Henrique has a goal and an assist in six postseason games, both coming in the opening contest of Edmonton's first-round matchup with the Kings. Connor Brown will reenter the lineup in Henrique's absence.
-
Danton Heinen BOS C
Bruins' Danton Heinen: Ready to rock
4h agoHeinen (undisclosed) is available to play in Game 4 against the Panthers on Sunday, per Tom Gulitti of NHL.com.
Heinen is poised to occupy a middle-six role and see time on the second power-play unit after missing the past five contests. He has one assist, five shots on goal and nine hits in five appearances this postseason. Heinen will replace Brad Marchand (upper body) in the lineup.
-
Brad Marchand BOS LW
Bruins' Brad Marchand: Won't play Sunday
4h agoMarchand (upper body) won't be in the lineup for Game 4 versus Florida on Sunday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Marchand will miss at least one contest after being injured in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Panthers. He has racked up three goals and 10 points in 10 outings this postseason. Marchand could be replaced in the lineup by Danton Heinen (undisclosed), who has missed the past five games.
-
Sergei Bobrovsky FLA G
Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Tending twine in Game 4
4h agoBobrovsky will defend the road net in Game 4 against Boston on Sunday, according to Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.
Bobrovsky has stopped 29 of 32 shots en route to winning his past two outings. He has posted a 6-2 record with a 2.62 GAA and an .892 save percentage through eight appearances this postseason. The Panthers can push the Bruins to the brink of elimination with a victory in Sunday's contest.
