Mack Hollins BUF WR
Bills' Mack Hollins: More competition emerges
9h agoHollins, who was signed as a free agent by the Bills in March, has seen the receiver room fill out in the time since, with the Bills drafting Keon Coleman in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft while also adding veterans Curtis Samuel, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Chase Claypool.
For a very brief period, Hollins was a starter on the otherwise lethal Buffalo offensive depth chart, but things have changed and it now looks as if the Bills will let several journeymen duke it out for slotting. With Buffalo being likely to feature running back James Cook and tight end Dalton Kincaid heavily in the passing game, it's difficult to envision Hollins having anything more than a depth role as a receiver that offers good size in the red zone, though we'll also note he's never caught more than four touchdowns in an NFL season.

Tank Dell HOU WR
Texans' Tank Dell: Engages in workout Saturday
1d agoDell (leg) ran and performed drills Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Dell is recovering from what has been described as a "clean flesh wound" to his left leg sustained as an innocent bystander in a shooting in Florida in late April. The wideout's workout Saturday suggests that he's progressing well and confirms previous reports that the wound was minor. Given his activity Saturday, there appears to be a chance that Dell will participate in the Texans' OTAs, which begin Monday.

Chukwuebuka Godrick KC OT
Chiefs' Chukwuebuka Godrick: Arrested on misdemeanor charge
2d agoGodrick and teammate Wanya Morris were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Godrick and Morris were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Godrick is expected to compete for a roster spot in 2024 after spending his rookie year on Kansas City's practice squad in 2023. It's unclear whether Godrick will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Lamical Perine KC RB
La'Mical Perine: Waived by KC
2d agoPerine was waived by the Chiefs on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Kansas City is parting ways with Perine after he rushed for 77 yards on 22 carries while adding three catches for 33 yards in 2023. The 2020 fourth-round draft pick of the Jets spent his first two seasons in New York. Perine will look to latch on with another team prior to training camp.

T.J. Hockenson MIN TE
Vikings' T.J. Hockenson: No timetable for return
2d agoHockenson (knee) said "they haven't really put a timeline on it" when asked Wednesday about a potential date for his in-season return to action, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Hockenson was specifically asked on the NFL Schedule Release '24 show whether he expects to be playing Week 5 versus the Jets in London. The standout tight end said of his recovery from a right ACL and MCL tear he's "kinda taking it day by day, week by week," and that "the progression has been incredible" even though a specific return timetable remains uncertain. Hockenson underwent surgery late January and doesn't seem likely to be ready for Week 1, but Week 5 could be within the realm of possibility. The Vikings have a Week 6 bye, however, so it's possible that a more realistic target for Hockenson's debut could be Week 7 and beyond.

Matthew Liberatore STL RP
Cardinals' Matthew Liberatore: Continues to struggle
34m agoLiberatore (1-2) suffered the loss Sunday against the Red Sox, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk over three innings. He struck out three.
Liberatore struggled through three-plus innings Sunday, including allowing a first inning solo homer to former teammate Tyler O'Neill. Liberatore started the fourth with the game still at 2-0 but he was pulled after allowing a run-scoring double to Romy Gonzalez, who later scored to add a fourth run to Liberatore's line. The 24-year-old lefty has struggled over his last four appearances, including three starts, allowing 11 runs over 10.1 innings. With the return of Steven Matz looming, Liberatore's stay in the Cardinals' rotation appears to be coming to an end.

Nick Pivetta BOS SP
Red Sox's Nick Pivetta: Efficient in earning second win
1h agoPivetta (2-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on one hit over six innings against the Cardinals. He struck out eight.
A fourth inning solo homer by Lars Nootbaar was the only blemish against Pivetta, who needed just 72 pitches to retire 18 of the 19 batters he faced. It was the second consecutive start for Pivetta with eight K's as he's struck out 16 over 11.2 innings while allowing only three runs during that stretch. However, it should be noted that all three runs were scored by way of the long ball and Pivetta has now allowed six homers, including five of the solo variety, over his last three appearances. Pivetta will look to continue the momentum into his next start, tentatively slated to take place next weekend when the Red Sox welcome the Brewers into Fenway for a three-game set.

Noah Schultz CHW SP
White Sox's Noah Schultz: Moving up to Double-A
2h agoSchultz was promoted to Double-A Birmingham on Sunday, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.
Schultz has produced a 3.95 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with 42 strikeouts over 27.1 innings in seven starts with Single-A Winston-Salem so far this season and he'll now move up another step in Chicago's farm system. The left-hander was selected in the first round of the 2022 MLB Draft by the White Sox and he's considered one of their top pitching prospects.
-
Dominic Leone CHW RP
White Sox's Dominic Leone: On cusp of return
2h agoLeone (back) appears set to be activated from the 15-day injured list Monday, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.
Leone has been on the shelf since May 6 with lower-back tightness, but he looks primed to be back in Chicago's bullpen after the minimum 15-day stay on the injured list. Right-hander Brad Keller was designated for assignment Sunday, opening a spot on the major-league roster for the reliever, once activated.
-
Emilio Pagan CIN RP
Reds' Emilio Pagan: Exits early versus Dodgers
4h agoPagan (undisclosed) was removed from his appearance in the ninth inning versus the Dodgers on Sunday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Pagan entered the game with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, ultimately escaping the frame when Teoscar Hernandez was caught stealing second. The right-hander returned for the bottom of the ninth, recording two outs before being removed with an apparent injury. More information on his status will likely be provided following Sunday's contest.

Luis Vazquez CHC SS
Cubs' Luis Vazquez: Set to join Cubs
4h agoVazquez is expected to be called up from Triple-A Iowa ahead of Tuesday's series opener with Atlanta, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.
Vazquez appears to be set to make his major-league debut after producing a .262 average with three home runs, 11 RBI, 22 runs scored and a stolen base over 141 at-bats in 39 contests at Iowa this season. It's possible that 27-year-old will replace Nico Hoerner (hamstring) on the big-league roster if Hoerner is ultimately placed on the injured list.
-
Mike Conley MIN PG
Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Available, starting Game 7
3h agoConley (Achilles) will start Sunday's Game 7 against the Timberwolves.
Conley will shed a second consecutive questionable tag after missing Game 5 with an Achilles injury. The veteran guard put together a solid performance in Game 6 and he was able to record 31 minutes, so he likely won't face any limitations during Sunday's win-or-go-home scenario.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Officially available Sunday
3h agoMurray (calf) will play in Sunday's Game 7 against the Timberwolves.
Murray has been dealing with a left calf strain throughout the entire series, but he will shed another questionable tag and suit up Sunday. Murray has struggled to produce against Minnesota's stellar defense, but he will likely be called upon early and often in this win-or-go-home scenario.

4h agoHaliburton posted 26 points (10-17 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six assists, four rebounds, one block and one steal over 33 minutes in Sunday's 130-109 win over New York in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Haliburton once again led the way for Indiana offensively in a winner-take-all victory, leading all Pacers in scoring and threes made while handing out a half-dozen assists to help the Pacers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. Haliburton ended the semifinals by scoring 20 or more points in four of the seven contests, adding at least five assists in every game against New York.
-

Nembhard provided Indiana with a boost offensively both scoring and distributing, ending as one of three players with 20 or more points while handing out a half-dozen assists and adding a handful of rebounds in a balanced Game 7 outing. Nembhard put forth his best game of the postseason to help the Pacers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, surpassing the 20-point mark for the second time of the playoffs and for the first time in the series against New York.
-
T.J. McConnell IND PG
Pacers' T.J. McConnell: Top distributor off bench in Game 7
4h agoMcConnell finished with 12 points (6-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt), seven assists, two rebounds, one block and one steal over 23 minutes in Sunday's 130-109 win over New York in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
McConnell provided a spark off the bench for Indiana in a winner-take-all contest, handing out a team-high assist total while ending as one of six players with a double-digit point total to help the Pacers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. McConnell stepped up his level of play in the semifinals against New York, recording at least 10 points and seven assists in three outings. The guard has surpassed the double-digit scoring mark in seven postseason contests, doing so in five of the seven semifinals games.

Josh Hart NY SF
Knicks' Josh Hart: All-around showing in Game 7
4h agoHart finished with 10 points (3-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and two steals over 37 minutes in Sunday's 130-109 loss to Indiana in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Hart once again gave all he had for New York in a winner-take-all battle, putting forth an all-around showing that included reaching double figures in scoring, ending two rebounds shy of the double-digit mark and adding a handful of assists as well as a team-high-tying pair of steals. Despite dealing with some injuries throughout the series against Indiana, Hart recorded at least 10 points and eight rebounds in five of the seven games in the semifinals.

Adam Henrique EDM C
Oilers' Adam Henrique: Not playing Monday
3h agoHenrique (ankle) will not suit up for Game 7 against Vancouver on Monday, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports.
Henrique will miss his fifth straight contest Monday and he dressed in just one game this series. The veteran forward scored two points in Game 1 against the Kings during the first round but has not scored a point in five straight appearances. His status for next round -- if Edmonton wins Game 7 against the Canucks -- is unclear at this time.
-
Brock Boeser VAN RW
Canucks' Brock Boeser: Out for Game 7
4h agoBoeser is dealing with a blood clotting issue and will not play in Monday's Game 7 against Edmonton, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Boeser's status moving forward is unclear, which would be a huge factor in the Western Conference Finals against Dallas if Vancouver wins Game 7. Fortunately, his condition is not considered to be life-threatening. He's scored seven goals and 12 points through 12 games this postseason, including a hat trick in Game 4 of the first round against Nashville. If Ily Mikheyev (undisclosed) misses Game 7 as well, Sam Lafferty seems to be the most likely candidate to step in for Boeser.
-
Jesper Fast CAR RW
Hurricanes' Jesper Fast: Still in neck brace
11h agoFast (neck) was still wearing a neck brace Saturday while he continues to undergo tests to determine the severity of the injury, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Fast was unavailable during the playoffs after suffering the injury in Carolina's regular-season finale April 16. The 32-year-old winger tallied six goals and 19 points in 73 regular-season games in a bottom-six role. Once the severity of his injury is diagnosed, Fast will focus on getting back to full health ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Filip Hronek VAN D
Canucks' Filip Hronek: Offers helper Saturday
22h agoHronek notched an assist, three hits and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Hronek has been a non-factor on offense this postseason, posting one helper, a minus-4 rating and 11 shots on net through 12 appearances. He's added 23 hits and 15 blocked shots while maintaining a top-pairing role.
-
Elias Pettersson VAN C
Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Notches assist in loss
22h agoPettersson recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Pettersson has earned two helpers in the last two games but still hasn't been living up to expectations offensively during the playoffs. He's at six points, 20 shots, 23 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 12 appearances. However, he's looked slightly better since moving to the wing alongside Elias Lindholm.
-
Nils Hoglander VAN LW
Canucks' Nils Hoglander: Nets lone goal in loss
23h agoHoglander scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Hoglander offered a quick response to Dylan Holloway's opening tally in the first period, but the Canucks' offense stalled out after that. The goal was Hoglander's first this postseason, and he's added just one assist with eight shots on net, 13 hits and a minus-2 rating over 10 appearances. The winger has been listed on the second line recently, but he's played a limited role with no power-play time, so there's little reason to think he'll soon turn a corner on offense.
