Kendrick Bourne NE WR
Patriots' Kendrick Bourne: Sitting out OTAs
1h agoCoach Jerod Mayo said Monday that Bourne (knee) will not participate in OTAs, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports.
Bourne is working his way back from a right ACL tear that forced him to miss the final nine games of the 2023 campaign, and while he said back in March that he expects to be a "full go" for training camp, it looks like spring activities would be too early a benchmark. That will cost Bourne an early chance to build chemistry with new quarterbacks Jacoby Brissett and Drake Maye, but as long as he's indeed able to get on the practice field for training camp, there shouldn't be real concerns about his availability for Week 1. Bourne re-signed with the Patriots this offseason on a three-year, $33 million contract this offseason, though it only contains $5.5 million guaranteed at signing with a $19.5 million base value.

Tua Tagovailoa MIA QB
Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Present for start of OTAs
4h agoTagovailoa is present for the start of OTAs on Monday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
Tagovailoa was recently reported to have missed a notable amount of Miami's offseason work amid ongoing talks about a contract extension, but the 26-year-old quarterback is in the building to kick off the start of OTAs. It appears that both Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' organization are confident that an extension will get done prior to the start of the regular season, so unless things stall on that front there shouldn't be too many concerns about the quarterback's offseason participation. Currently, Tagovailoa is slated to play out the 2024 campaign on his fifth-year option. He played a full 17 regular-season games last year for the first time in his career, achieving new highs with 4,624 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

Mack Hollins BUF WR
Bills' Mack Hollins: More competition emerges
23h agoHollins, who was signed as a free agent by the Bills in March, has seen the receiver room fill out in the time since, with the Bills drafting Keon Coleman in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft while also adding veterans Curtis Samuel, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Chase Claypool.
For a very brief period, Hollins was a starter on the otherwise lethal Buffalo offensive depth chart, but things have changed, and it now looks as if the Bills will let several journeymen duke it out for slotting. With Buffalo being likely to feature running back James Cook and tight end Dalton Kincaid heavily in the passing game, it's difficult to envision Hollins having anything more than a depth role as a receiver that offers good size in the red zone, though it should be noted that he's never caught more than four touchdowns in an NFL season.

Tank Dell HOU WR
Texans' Tank Dell: Engages in workout Saturday
2d agoDell (leg) ran and performed drills Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Dell is recovering from what has been described as a "clean flesh wound" to his left leg sustained as an innocent bystander in a shooting in Florida in late April. The wideout's workout Saturday suggests that he's progressing well and confirms previous reports that the wound was minor. Given his activity Saturday, there appears to be a chance that Dell will participate in the Texans' OTAs, which begin Monday.

Chukwuebuka Godrick KC OT
Chiefs' Chukwuebuka Godrick: Arrested on misdemeanor charge
3d agoGodrick and teammate Wanya Morris were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Godrick and Morris were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Godrick is expected to compete for a roster spot in 2024 after spending his rookie year on Kansas City's practice squad in 2023. It's unclear whether Godrick will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Wanya Morris KC OT
Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Arrested for misdemeanor possession
3d agoMorris and teammate Chukwuebuka Godrick were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Morris and Godrick were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Morris is expected to compete for the starting left tackle spot for the Chiefs in 2024. It's unclear whether Morris will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

J.J. Bleday OAK CF
Athletics' JJ Bleday: On base three times in loss
10m agoBleday went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a walk and a run in a loss to the Royals on Sunday.
Bleday continued to pound the ball Sunday, with his pair of doubles pushing his season extra-base-hit total to 20, just one short of the career high he established in 2023. Bleday has put together an extended stretch of productive performances at the plate, recording a .267/.353/.483 slash line with four multi-hit efforts, nine XBH and nine RBI across the 69 plate appearances covering his last 16 games.
-
Luke Raley SEA LF
Mariners' Luke Raley: Three-hit effort in loss
15m agoRaley went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday.
Raley accomplished the rare feat of generating a three-hit tally against Orioles starter Corbin Burnes, who was otherwise mostly dominant while recording 11 strikeouts across six frames. Raley now has three multi-hit efforts during his current six-game hitting streak, a stretch where he's posted a .458 average (11-for-24) with Sunday's pair of two-baggers, two home runs, five RBI and two steals across 24 plate appearances.
-
Christian Bethancourt MIA C
Marlins' Christian Bethancourt: Belts first homer of season
16m agoBethancourt went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Mets.
The catcher took Jake Diekman deep in the seventh inning, bringing the Marlins to within a run at 4-3, but it was as close as they got. Bethancourt has offered little at the plate this season -- Sunday's homer was his first of 2024, and he's slashing .143/.186/.232 in 60 plate appearances as the backup to Nick Fortes.
-
Will Brennan CLE RF
Guardians' Will Brennan: Walks off Twins
18m agoBrennan went 1-for-4 with a three-run walk-off home run in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Twins.
Brennan played the hero Sunday, taking Jhoan Duran deep in the bottom of the ninth inning after the Twins tied the game a half-inning earlier. The homer was Brennan's first since May 1. The outfielder is hitting .254 (15-for-59) in May with four extra-base hits over 18 contests, though that's an improvement from earlier in the campaign. Brennan is slashing .231/.283/.396 with five homers, 18 RBI, 16 runs scored and two stolen bases over 145 plate appearances while seeing a majority of the playing time in right field.
-
Luis Urias SEA 3B
Mariners' Luis Urias: Plates pair in Sunday's loss
20m agoUrias sent 2-for-4 with an RBI single, a run-scoring double and a run in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday.
Urias accounted for almost all of the Mariners' offense on the afternoon, plating Luke Raley and Dylan Moore with a single and double, respectively. The 26-year-old snapped an 0-for-15 skid that had encompassed his previous seven games, and his multi-hit effort was his first of a season where he's still carrying an abysmal .162/.279/.338 across 86 plate appearances.
-
Yohan Ramirez NYM RP
Dodgers' Yohan Ramirez: Traded to Dodgers
29m agoThe Dodgers acquired Ramirez from the Mets on Monday for cash consideration, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Ramirez continues to bounce around, as he'll join his third organization since April following two stints with the Mets and one with the Orioles. He's out of options, so the reliever must join the Dodgers' active roster. He's allowed 11 runs over 14.1 relief innings in the majors this season.
-
Kristaps Porzingis BOS C
Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Doesn't practice Monday
9m agoPorzingis (calf) didn't participate in Monday's practice session, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
Porzingis sustained a calf injury during the first round of the playoffs and isn't expected to be available for the start of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers. His absence from practice reflects that pessimism, while Al Horford and Luke Kornet should continue to see an uptick in playing time during Tuesday's Game 1.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope DEN SG
Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Poor offensive showing Sunday
6h agoCaldwell-Pope racked up five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Caldwell-Pope scored single digits for the sixth time in the past eight games, highlighting the Nuggets' struggles when it comes to depth on the offensive end. While he continues to play a key role for Denver, his lack of production cannot be ignored when it comes to fantasy value. Looking ahead to next season, there is no reason to think he will be anything more than a situational streamer, utilized for steals and threes.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Scores game-high 35 points
6h agoMurray provided 35 points (13-27 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 43 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to Minnesota in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Murray did everything he could to get the Nuggets over the line but ultimately came up short. He and Nikola Jokic scored 69 of the Nuggets' 90 points, highlighting just how unimpactful their bench was. While it was a disappointing end for Murray, his production this year aligned with what fantasy managers expected coming into the season. Given they will likely be contending again next season, there is no reason to think anything changes from a fantasy perspective in 2024-25.
-
Michael Porter Jr. DEN SF
Nuggets' Michael Porter: Goes cold in Game 7 loss
6h agoPorter posted seven points (3-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt), nine rebounds and two blocks across 34 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Porter went just 1-for-6 from the three-point line, continuing a rough series for the sharpshooter. Over the seven-game span, Porter scored fewer than 10 points on five occasions. It was an unfortunate end for Porter after he managed to put together a strong season. Despite the poor postseason performance, Porter should be able to maintain mid-round value in most fantasy formats next season.
-
Jaden McDaniels MIN SF
Timberwolves' Jaden McDaniels: Scores team-high 23 points
6h agoMcDaniels racked up 23 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals across 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 victory over the Nuggets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
McDaniels scored 20-plus points for the second straight game, helping the Timberwolves to an impressive victory in Game 7. Although his offensive output can be inconsistent, he has been a little more reliable during the postseason. Coming up against the Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals, McDaniels is going to have to maintain his offensive mindset to contend with the likes of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
-
Naz Reid MIN C
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Plays key role late in victory
6h agoReid closed with 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 22 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 win over the Nuggets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Reid played additional minutes down the stretch due to Karl-Anthony Towns' foul trouble. As usual, Reid delivered on the offensive end and tallied a few key blocks. He should play a pivotal role off the bench for Minnesota against the high-flying Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.
-
Brock Boeser VAN RW
Canucks' Brock Boeser: Won't return this postseason
2h agoBoeser will miss the remainder of the 2024 playoffs after a blood-clotting issue was found in his leg following Vancouver's Game 6 loss to Edmonton on Saturday, per Sportsnet.
Boeser will conclude the postseason with seven goals and 12 points in 12 appearances. He also set career highs during the 2023-24 regular season, producing 40 goals and 73 points over 81 outings. If Ilya Mikheyev (undisclosed) can't play in Monday's Game 7 matchup versus the Oilers, Sam Lafferty or Linus Karlsson could draw into the lineup to replace Boeser.
-
Brett Seney CHI LW
Blackhawks' Brett Seney: Inks one-year extension
2h agoSeney signed a one-year, two-way contract with Chicago on Monday.
Seney supplied 23 goals and 63 points in 68 contests with AHL Rockford during the 2023-24 regular season. The 28-year-old forward has one goal in 11 NHL outings with the Blackhawks over the past two campaigns.
-
Arturs Silovs VAN G
Canucks' Arturs Silovs: In goal Monday
2h agoSilovs will get the starting nod at home for Game 7 against Edmonton on Monday, Sportsnet reports.
Silovs underwhelmed in Game 6, allowing five goals on 27 shots (.815 save percentage). Overall, the 23-year-old netminder is 3-3 with a 3.47 GAA through the first six games of the series while conceding three or more goals in all but one of those contests.
-
Dmitry Ovchinnikov MIN C
Wild's Dmitry Ovchinnikov: Inks KHL deal
2h agoOvchinnikov agreed to terms on a one-year contract with KHL club Sibir Novosibirsk on Monday, Kyle Cushman of The Score reports.
Ovchinnikov was traded to the Wild from the Maple Leafs at the deadline but stayed with AHL Toronto, which was a fairly good indication Minnesota wasn't interested in adding the 21-year-old center to the NHL roster any time soon. With the Marlies this year, Ovchinnikov notched seven goals and three assists in 21 contests.
-
Tony DeAngelo CAR D
Hurricanes' Tony DeAngelo: Set for offseason procedure
2h agoDeAngelo will require offseason hand surgery, according to Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal.
DeAngelo is eligible for unrestricted free agency in July after completing a one-year, $1.675 million contract with the Hurricanes. The 28-year-old blueliner generated three goals, 11 points, 44 shots on net and 18 blocked shots in 31 regular-season appearances during the 2023-24 campaign. DeAngelo also contributed two assists, 16 shots on goal, seven blocked shots and eight hits across nine playoff outings in 2024.

Danton Heinen BOS C
Bruins' Danton Heinen: Manages just one postseason point
3h agoHeinen struggled in the playoffs, generating a lone helper in eight games, after reaching the 30-point threshold in the regular season.
Heinen was back with the Bruins after last playing for the organization during the 2019-20 campaign. Despite limited power-play opportunities, the 28-year-old winger still reached the 35-point mark for the third time in his career. Looking ahead to next season, Heinen will hit the open market July 1 and could land elsewhere.
