Tank Dell HOU WR
Texans' Tank Dell: Engages in workout Saturday
5h agoDell (leg) ran and performed drills Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Dell is recovering from what has been described as a "clean flesh wound" to his left leg sustained as an innocent bystander in a shooting in Florida in late April. The wideout's workout Saturday suggests that he's progressing well and confirms previous reports that the wound was minor. Given his activity Saturday, there appears to be a chance that Dell will participate in the Texans' OTAs, which begin Monday.

Chukwuebuka Godrick KC OT
Chiefs' Chukwuebuka Godrick: Arrested on misdemeanor charge
23h agoGodrick and teammate Wanya Morris were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Godrick and Morris were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Godrick is expected to compete for a roster spot in 2024 after spending his rookie year on Kansas City's practice squad in 2023. It's unclear whether Godrick will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Arrested for misdemeanor possession
23h agoMorris and teammate Chukwuebuka Godrick were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Morris and Godrick were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Morris is expected to compete for the starting left tackle spot for the Chiefs in 2024. It's unclear whether Morris will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Lamical Perine KC RB
La'Mical Perine: Waived by KC
1d agoPerine was waived by the Chiefs on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Kansas City is parting ways with Perine after he rushed for 77 yards on 22 carries while adding three catches for 33 yards in 2023. The 2020 fourth-round draft pick of the Jets spent his first two seasons in New York. Perine will look to latch on with another team prior to training camp.

T.J. Hockenson MIN TE
Vikings' T.J. Hockenson: No timetable for return
1d agoHockenson (knee) said "they haven't really put a timeline on it" when asked Wednesday about a potential date for his in-season return to action, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Hockenson was specifically asked on the NFL Schedule Release '24 show whether he expects to be playing Week 5 versus the Jets in London. The standout tight end said of his recovery from a right ACL and MCL tear he's "kinda taking it day by day, week by week," and that "the progression has been incredible" even though a specific return timetable remains uncertain. Hockenson underwent surgery late January and doesn't seem likely to be ready for Week 1, but Week 5 could be within the realm of possibility. The Vikings have a Week 6 bye, however, so it's possible that a more realistic target for Hockenson's debut could be Week 7 and beyond.

Najee Harris PIT RB
Steelers' Najee Harris: Dropping weight for contract season
1d agoHarris' trainer said Friday the running back has dropped to around 235 pounds this offseason after playing at 242 during the 2023 season, and that he's increasingly motivated after the Steelers declined his fifth-year option, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
Harris is heading into the final season of his rookie deal with Pittsburgh, so there's no doubt about his motivation to log a productive year and earn sizeable payday for 2025. Playing at a lower weight could help Harris' efficiency metrics, and there's also some reason to be optimistic that he now finds himself in a better scenario than 2023, when he set new career-high marks with eight rushing touchdowns and 4.1 YPC. Rookie first-round pick Troy Fautanu should represent an upgrade to the O-line, and while there are question marks surrounding Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, both have the potential to command a more effective offense than Kenny Pickett did. Harris is capable of handling 20-plus touches but also dependent on volume to produce, making the emergence of Jaylen Warren the biggest threat to his fantasy prospects.

Kevin Gausman TOR SP
Blue Jays' Kevin Gausman: Tosses quality start Saturday
3m agoGausman came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Rays, giving up three runs on eight hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.
The veteran right-hander cruised through five innings before running into trouble in the sixth and allowing all three of his runs. It was a solid bounce-back effort for Gausman after he got tagged for seven runs (six earned) in his last outing, and the quality start was his third of the season. He'll take a 4.89 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 43:11 K:BB through 42.1 innings into his next start, which lines up to come on the road next week in Detroit.
-
Jonny DeLuca TB CF
Rays' Jonny DeLuca: Leads comeback win
15m agoDeLuca went 1-for-4 with a walk, a two-run home run, a second run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays.
After drawing a walk and coming around to score in the sixth inning as part of a three-run rally that got the Rays on the board, DeLuca turned on a 97.3 mph fastball from Nate Pearson in the eighth inning and launched it over the left-field fence for the game-winning hit. DeLuca has begun to see his playing time slip as Tampa Bay's roster has gotten healthier, but through 15 games this season he still sports a .300/.404/.550 slash line with two homers, three steals, six runs and 12 RBI.
-
Garrett Cleavinger TB RP
Rays' Garrett Cleavinger: Notches third save
19m agoCleavinger struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his third save of the season in a 5-4 win over the Blue Jays.
Pete Fairbanks had pitched three of the prior four days and Jason Adam worked the eighth inning Saturday to collect his 10th hold, so closing duties fell to Cleavinger. The southpaw didn't disappoint, firing 11 of 14 pitches for strikes as he dispatched Toronto's 8-9-1 hitters. Cleavinger is the top lefty in the Tampa Bay bullpen, which will likely lead to other save chances as matchups dictate, but Fairbanks remains the primary high-leverage option for manager Kevin Cash. Through 18.2 innings this season, Cleavinger sports a 1.45 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 29:12 K:BB.
-
Zach Eflin TB SP
Rays' Zach Eflin: Escapes with no-decision Saturday
24m agoEflin came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays, giving up four runs on nine hits over six innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.
After keeping Toronto hitters in check the first time through the order, things went off the rails for Eflin in the fourth and fifth innings, putting the Rays in a 4-0 hole that they eventually climbed out of. The right-hander did manage to keep the ball in the yard, snapping a streak of four straight starts in which he'd served up a homer. Eflin will take a 4.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and stellar 44:4 K:BB through 59 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Royals.
-
Shota Imanaga CHC SP
Cubs' Shota Imanaga: Makes history in no-decision
28m agoImanaga came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Pirates, scattering four hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings. He struck out seven.
The 30-year-old lefty was locked in a pitcher's duel with Bailey Falter, preventing either starter from getting a decision, but Imanaga still impressed. He generated 22 swinging strikes among his 88 pitches, and he now sports a 0.84 ERA -- the lowest mark in history through a pitcher's first nine career MLB starts. Imanaga will also take a 0.91 WHIP and 58:9 K:BB through 53.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in St. Louis.

Bryce Elder ATL SP
Braves' Bryce Elder: San Diego-Atlanta postponed Sat.
30m agoElder and Atlanta will not play Saturday after their game versus the Padres was postponed due to inclement weather.
The teams will make up the game as part of a doubleheader Monday. Elder will now start on Sunday instead, with Atlanta's scheduled starter for that day, Reynaldo Lopez, moving to Monday.

Mike Conley MIN PG
Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Questionable for Sunday
3h agoConley (Achilles) is questionable for Sunday's Game 7 against Denver.
After missing Game 5 with this same injury, Conley played in Game 6 Thursday and finished with 13 points, five assists, four rebounds and one block in 31 minutes. With Minnesota's season on the line, Conley will likely attempt to power through the issue again.
-
Luka Doncic DAL PG
Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Available Saturday
3h agoDoncic (knee) is available for Saturday's Game 6 against the Thunder.
Doncic has been pushing through questionable and probable tags throughout the playoffs with various injuries, but he's yet to miss a single game. Look for him to see his usual workload Saturday.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Questionable for Sunday
4h agoMurray is questionable to play in Sunday's Game 7 against the Timberwolves due to a left calf strain.
Murray has been listed as questionable throughout the entire series, but that's not surprising, as the star point guard has been dealing with a left calf strain since the end of Denver's first-round series against the Lakers. The Nuggets need Murray to be at his best if they want to win Sunday, as he's coming off a woeful showing in the Game 6 loss on Thursday, scoring 10 points while shooting 4-for-18 from the field.
-
OG Anunoby NY SF
Knicks' OG Anunoby: Upgraded to questionable
4h agoAnunoby (hamstring) has been upgraded to questionable for Sunday's Game 7 against the Pacers.
The questionable tag is all there is work with right now in terms of specifics, but New York fans will be thrilled that there's a chance Anunoby is able return for the first time since Game 2. There should be additional clarity on Anunoby's status following the Sunday morning shootaround.
-
Josh Hart NY SF
Knicks' Josh Hart: Iffy for Game 7 with abdominal strain
4h agoHart suffered an abdominal strain during Friday's Game 6 against Indiana, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. He's officially listed as questionable for Sunday's Game 7.
Hart exited Friday's Game 6 early with abdominal soreness but further testing indicated that Hart's dealing with a strained abdomen. Even if Hart gets the green light, it's unlikely that he'd be at 100 percent considering the recency of the issue. If the 28-year-old can't go, expect Miles McBride. Alec Burks and Precious Achiuwa to see more minutes.
-
Doug McDermott IND SF
Pacers' Doug McDermott: Cracks rotation in victory
15h agoMcDermott supplied zero points (0-1 FG) in three minutes during Friday's 116-103 victory over the Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
McDermott played three minutes to close the game Friday, at which point the Pacers had the game sealed up. Having played a total of just 19 minutes in the series, it's safe to say that McDermott is not going to play a role in determining the outcome of what has been a fantastic series between two bitter rivals.
-
Ilya Mikheyev VAN RW
Canucks' Ilya Mikheyev: Out Saturday
6h agoMikheyev (undisclosed) isn't expected to play Saturday against Edmonton in Game 6, per Thomas Drance of The Athletic.
Mikheyev also missed Thursday's 3-2 Game 5 victory over the Oilers. He has no points, a minus-4 rating, 11 shots, nine hits and three blocks in 10 playoff contests this year. Mikheyev's continued absence will likely result in Vasily Podkolzin remaining in the lineup for the second straight game.
-
Arturs Silovs VAN G
Canucks' Arturs Silovs: First off ahead of Game 6
9h agoSilovs was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, per Thomas Drance of The Athletic, indicating he will guard the road net Saturday in Game 6 against Edmonton.
Silovs is coming off a 21-save performance in Thursday's 3-2 victory over the Oilers in Game 5. He has posted a 2.62 GAA and a .907 save percentage through eight appearances this postseason en route to a 5-3 record. Edmonton ranks second in the 2024 playoffs with 3.80 goals per game.
-
Stuart Skinner EDM G
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Back in net
10h agoSkinner will guard the home crease in Game 6 against Vancouver on Saturday, Gene Principe of Sportsnet reports.
Skinner ceded the crease to Calvin Pickard in Edmonton's last two contests after struggling to a .793 save percentage in the first three games of the series. With the Oilers now down 3-2, they'll turn back to Skinner as they look to force a Game 7. The 25-year-old netminder is 5-3-0 overall in the postseason with an .877 save percentage and 3.22 GAA.
-
Brett Pesce CAR D
Hurricanes' Brett Pesce: Diagnosed with fractured fibula
10h agoPesce (lower leg) has been dealing with a fractured fibula near his ankle, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Pesce missed the final nine games of Carolina's postseason run, including the entire second-round series against the Rangers, after suffering the injury in Game 2 of the opening round versus the Islanders. Pesce had three goals, 10 points and a plus-10 rating in 70 regular-season games this year. The 29-year-old blueliner is set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason -- if healthy, Pesce should be one of the top names available.
-
Remi Poirier DAL G
Stars' Remi Poirier: Recalled from minors
11h agoPoirier was summoned from AHL Texas on Saturday.
The 22-year-old netminder was 17-16-4 with a 3.19 GAA and a .904 save percentage in 38 games during the regular season. Poirier has yet to play a game at the NHL level.
-
Fredrik Karlstrom DAL C

11h agoKarlstrom was recalled from AHL Texas on Saturday.
Karlstrom spent the entire 2023-24 campaign with Texas after playing in five games with Dallas during the 2022-23 campaign. He had 21 goals and 44 points in 72 appearances during the 2023-24 regular season. The 26-year-old forward was also productive in the postseason, picking up three goals and five assists in seven games.
