AJ Parker CAR CB
AJ Parker: Waived with non-football injury
12m agoThe Panthers waived Parker with an undisclosed non-football injury Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The details and severity of Parker's injury are unknown, other than the fact that it did not occur on the football field. The cornerback will now be available to be claimed on waivers should any other teams show interest.

Raequan Williams CAR DT
Raequan Williams: Gets waived/injured
16m agoWilliams was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday due to an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
No details have been released with details or more information on the severity of Williams' injury. He will presumably revert to Carolina's injured reserve assuming he clears waivers, which means his 2024 season will be done unless both parties can reach an injury settlement.
-
Ilm Manning CAR OT
Ilm Manning: Waived/injured by Carolina
19m agoManning was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday with an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
There is no word on the severity of Manning's injury. Assuming he clears waivers, the guard will subsequently revert to Carolina's injured reserve. From there, he would need to reach an injury settlement with the team at some point, or else his 2024 season would come to a premature end.

Bradlee Anae NYJ DE
Falcons' Bradlee Anae: Inks deal with Atlanta
3h agoAnae (undisclosed) has agreed to terms on a contract with the Falcons, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
This news comes less than 24 hours after Anae's tryout in Atlanta. His 2023 season came to an end early, as the Jets placed him on injured reserve nearly one year ago with an undisclosed injury presumably suffered during offseason workouts. The defensive end's addition to Atlanta's roster indicates his health is back up to par, so he will now compete for a role in the trenches.
-
Gerrid Doaks HOU RB
Gerrid Doaks: Cut by Houston
19h agoThe Texans waived Doaks on Friday.
Doaks spent most of the past two seasons with Houston's practice squad and had signed a reserve/future contract with the club in January. However, he was cut Friday after the Texans reshaped their running back room in the offseason by trading for Joe Mixon, adding Jawhar Jordan in the draft and signing British Brooks as an undrafted free agent. Doaks has yet to play a snap in the NFL.
-
Je'Quan Burton 2005 WR
Dolphins' Je'Quan Burton: Headed to Miami
20h agoThe Dolphins signed Burton on Friday.
As a senior at Florida Atlantic, Burton hauled in 24 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Miami's wide receiver depth chart will be tough to crack for any undrafted rookie ahead of 2024.
-
Gerrit Cole NYY SP
Yankees' Gerrit Cole: Has BP session Saturday
2m agoCole (elbow) threw 29 pitches in his bullpen session Saturday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
Cole noted that he had a "pretty good" bullpen session, with 13 of his 29 pitches being breaking balls and his velocity topping at 89 MPH. He is set to stay in Tampa Bay and throw another bullpen early in the coming week.
-
Gleyber Torres NYY 2B
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Resting Saturday
7m agoTorres is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Ray, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
Torres will not start for the first time since April 20 against Tampa Bay, though he did pinch hit in that contest. Torres is 5-for-30 with five walks and a solo home run in May, and he is coming off an 0-for-4 outing with one strikeout in Friday's win. Oswaldo Cabrera will shift to second base Saturday, while Jon Berti gets the start at third.
-
Victor Robles WAS CF
Nationals' Victor Robles: Gets another start
7m agoRobles is starting in right field and batting ninth Saturday in Boston.
He has started over Nick Senzel in back-to-back games against a right-handed pitcher (both Senzel and Robles bat right-handed), which allows the Nationals to plug Jesse Winker in at designated hitter to improve the outfield defense. Robles returned Friday from a hamstring injury and went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base. At least until the Nationals promote James Wood, it looks like Robles will get to play a decent amount in the short term.
-
Giancarlo Stanton NYY DH
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Gets breather Saturday
16m agoStanton is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
Stanton went 2-for-4 in the series opener Friday. Trent Grisham will start in center field Friday while Aaron Judge shifts to DH against Rays right-hander Zack Littell.
-
Nick Senzel WAS DH
Nationals' Nick Senzel: Sitting against another righty
18m agoSenzel is not in Saturday's lineup against the Red Sox.
He will sit for a second day in a row with the Nationals facing a righty, and on both occasions Victor Robles picked up the start in the outfield with Jesse Winker sliding to designated hitter. Senzel is hitting .214 with a 42.4 percent strikeout rate in 28 at-bats this month.
-
Kyle Schwarber PHI DH
Phillies' Kyle Schwarber: Sitting Saturday as expected
23m agoSchwarber (back) will sit for Saturday's game against the Marlins, as expected.
He left Friday's game in the ninth inning with a sore back and told reporters he'd probably take Saturday off, which is indeed the case. Cristian Pache draws the start in left field with Whit Merrifield starting at third base and Alec Bohm getting the nod at designated hitter.
-
Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Shines in Game 3 victory
2h agoHaliburton closed Friday's 111-106 win over New York in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 35 points (14-26 FG, 6-16 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals across 38 minutes.
The Pacers needed Haliburton to carry them offensively, and while Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner delivered impressive stat lines, Haliburton was the engine that kept the team going. This 35-point effort was a playoff-high mark during the current season, and he seems to be catching fire after surpassing the 30-point plateau in each of his last two appearances.
-
Pascal Siakam IND PF
Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Goes for 26 points in Game 3 win
3h agoSiakam logged 26 points (9-14 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 7-9 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block across 31 minutes during Friday's 111-106 win over the Knicks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Siakam was remarkably efficient during Friday's win, and even though Tyrese Haliburton grabbed most of the headlines with his 35-point effort, Siakam's impact on offense can't be overlooked. The star big man could be in line for another solid showing in Game 4 of the series Sunday, as the Knicks are extremely depleted in the frontcourt while missing key defensive contributors such as Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and OG Anunoby (hamstring).
-
Myles Turner IND C
Pacers' Myles Turner: Double-doubles, swats three shots
3h agoTurner notched 21 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 35 minutes during Friday's 111-106 victory over the Knicks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Turner made his presence felt on both ends of the court Friday, tying his playoff-high mark in blocks while recording his first double-double of the current playoff run. The Pacers need Turner to continue making a two-way impact if they're going to turn things around in the series, especially considering how depleted the Knicks are in the frontcourt with Julius Randle (shoulder), Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and OG Anunoby (hamstring) all out for Game 4.
-
Josh Hart NY SF
Knicks' Josh Hart: Pulls down 18 boards in Game 3 loss
3h agoHart posted 10 points (4-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 18 rebounds, four assists and two steals over 43 minutes during Friday's 111-106 loss to Indiana in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Hart didn't do much on the offensive end of the court and barely reached double-digit figures, but as has been the case all year long, he made his presence felt on the glass. The 18 rebounds represented his best output in the current playoff run in that category, and it's worth noting he's grabbed double-digit boards in all but two of his nine playoff appearances. He's averaging 17.1 points and 13.3 rebounds per game in the current postseason run.
-
Donte DiVincenzo NY SG
Knicks' Donte DiVincenzo: Explodes for 35 points in loss
3h agoDiVincenzo ended Friday's 111-106 loss to the Pacers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 35 points (12-26 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 44 minutes.
Jalen Brunson wasn't at his best Friday, but DiVincenzo came through and carried the Knicks offensively with a career playoff-high scoring performance, although New York came up short and couldn't go up 3-0 in the series. DiVincenzo has been forced to embrace a bigger role on offense with several key contributors sidelined, but he's delivered so far, and he should be in line for another prominent role in Game 4 with names such as Julius Randle (shoulder), OG Anunoby (hamstring) and Bojan Bogdanovic (foot) all out.
-
Jalen Brunson NY PG
Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Struggles with shot in Game 3
3h agoBrunson supplied 26 points (10-26 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-7 FT), six assists and one steal over 38 minutes during Friday's 111-106 loss to the Pacers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Brunson's final stat line looks decent overall, but the fact that he needed 26 shots to score 26 points can't be overlooked. The star guard has been one of the league's best players during the current playoff run, and the Knicks need him to be more efficient ahead of a pivotal Game 4 on Sunday. This was just a bump on the road for Brunson, however, as he's shooting 50 percent from the field while averaging 32.7 points per game so far in the series.
-
Jake Oettinger DAL G
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Back in goal for Game 3
3m agoOettinger will guard the road cage Saturday against Colorado in Game 3, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Oettinger has allowed seven goals on 57 shots in the first two games of the series, but he'll be back at it Saturday with Dallas looking to take the lead in the series. Oettinger is 5-4-0 in the postseason with a .914 save percentage and 2.24 GAA.
-
Arvid Holm COL G
Arvid Holm: Signs overseas
22m agoHolm has signed a three-year contract with Rogle BK of the SHL, Brennan Vogt of The-Rink.com reports.
This deal could spell the end of Holm's career in North America. The 25-year-old netminder didn't appear in an NHL game -- he went 6-6-0 with an .887 save percentage with AHL Colorado this year.
-
Brad Marchand BOS LW
Bruins' Brad Marchand: Deemed day-to-day
31m agoMarchand (upper body) was deemed day-to-day by coach Jim Montgomery on Saturday.
Marchand was forced out of Friday's 6-2 Game 3 loss after taking a hit from Sam Bennett. The 36-year-old Marchand has three goals and 10 points in 10 games this postseason. He'll likely be a game-time decision prior to Game 4 on Sunday. Jesper Boqvist would likely reenter the lineup if Marchand ultimately can't play.
-
Filip Chytil NYR C
Rangers' Filip Chytil: Not skating Saturday
2h agoChytil (illness) wasn't present at morning skate Saturday prior to Game 4 in Carolina, Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today reports.
Chytil played 12:02 of ice time in Game 3, marking his first appearance since early November as he returned from a head injury. There's a chance the Rangers hold the 24-year-old center out Saturday, which would allow Matt Rempe to slot back into the lineup.
-
Carson Soucy VAN D
Canucks' Carson Soucy: Supplies assist in loss
11h agoSoucy logged an assist and two PIM in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Soucy has found more success in the second round with three helpers over two games after he put up just one assist in six contests during the first round versus the Predators. The 29-year-old blueliner isn't expected to put up a lot of offense while filling a bottom-four role on defense. Soucy has added 24 hits, seven blocked shots, four PIM and a plus-2 rating through eight playoff contests.
-
Quinn Hughes VAN D
Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Helps out on power play
11h agoHughes logged a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Hughes is up to six helpers over eight playoff games, and three of those assists have come on the power play. He helped out on an Elias Pettersson tally in this contest. Hughes has added 11 shots on net, six blocked shots and a minus-1 rating while continuing to play massive minutes on the Canucks' top pairing.
